Been a while but here are a few updates!!!!

For some reason I have been busy, too busy to put some thoughts down and what has been happening lately......wonder why????

So many things happening just to mention a few, Chloee is up to 8 teeth with a couple of molars currently pushing threw, she enjoys eating sidewalk chalk this summer so much so that her poop yesterday was a pretty shade of pink, she has graduated to a big girl bed, no more cribs for this house :)  She has shown to be quite the little trooper lately, lots of falls and bumps and bruises.  Yesterday she pulled a bar stool down on her head and received numerous bruises to her forehead and nose......she is keeping up with her big brothers for sure!!!!!

Jett, well he is turning into a little boy now, the baby chubby's are disappearing and he is getting tall.  I look at him and wonder where that little fart went!  He is sooooo solid and strong, just like his Daddy!!!  Nobody will be pushing that kid around!  He is speaking so much now, that we have full blown conversations with him now, some tend to be argument's.....he has his own little mind and knows what he wants!  He loves to still flash those big blue eyes at us when he is in trouble, he knows how to play us for sure!!!  He still loves his zebra blankets and the tag.  The Tag is very important to him!!!!

Chase, well he is such a big boy now, learned how to ride his bike with two wheels, rollerblading with Daddy, fishing, heading down the street all by himself to hang with his buddies....wow where did my baby go?  He is going into SK this September.  He is such a wonderful kid, with such a big heart.  He amazes me everyday how loving he is!  All day long I get to hear " I love you Mommy"  How amazing is that?????  He is taking on the roll of watching his brother or sister when they play together now also....and will report everything that is done!  He gets dressed himself, get's his own milk, gets his pj's on, brushes his teeth!!!  Just a little man now!!!!

Well as usual I am so very proud and honoured to have these three little humans in my life!!!!  I am such a lucky Mom!!!!!  Love you all!!!

A week for the record books

With Matt's job travel is a huge part......handling 3 children on my own can prove to be a huge challenge sometimes, this past week with Matt away was one for the books.

The week started off great, the first day anyway, but late that evening the table turned.  Once I finally got the kids all to bed and got myself in bed and spent about an hour unwinding watching tv.  I finally felt ready to sleep, cuddled in for the night and just into a nice sleep, our Carbon Monoxide detector began to sound the alarm.   It took me a few minutes to finally figure out what the sound was.  Alarmed and scared, I ran out the front door to see if anyone was around, as sadly I don't know enough about these detectors.  Luckily our neighbours Chad and his brother were outside and came over to lend a helping hand, they couldn't figure out why it was going off either.  It continued to go off for a couple of hours, Chad lent us one of his detectors so that we could turn ours off.  His detector remained silent and didn't pick up anything.  It was later determined that our detector had been covered in hairspray......wonder who could have done that...JETT!!!!!!  That night not alot of sleep was had, as later on in the evening a little tornado ran threw our area and tore our back deck lawn furniture apart, dumping things, removing the umbrella and making a heck of a lot of nice.

The next morning was a very long one, we woke and Jett was ill, he had a huge temperature and wanted to sleep all day, I just kept up on the advil and fluids for him..poor little man......the next day he seemed to be fine, and then it was Chase's turn......he awoke in the middle of the night and came in bed with me, needing advil also, with a huge temperature.  Sleep was not our friend for the past 3 nights!!!

We woke the next morning and Chase stayed in bed for the day, so it was his turn to keep the fluids and advil to him.  The following morning he was doing much better.....next it was onto Chloee.  Chloee was teething at the same time so things seemed to be a little more intense for her.  Her fever got up to 101 and she would not allow me to leave her at all!!  She was not in good spirits at all or eating or drinking.....After day 3 of this behaviour I began to get a little scared and thought she needed to be seen by he doctor.  Later that day I had her into our family doctor and after being checked out the doctor sent us to the hospital.  Couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, so they wanted to do some more extensive exams and test.....7 hours later we were released with all test coming back negative and they determined that she had a viral infection.  Poor little thing.  Daddy jumped on a plane and headed home from Vancouver that night to help and Gramma and Boppa jumped in the car and drove here to help also.  Our good friends the Jossee's helped out so greatly with taking the boys for me while I had Chlo at the hospital.......Moral of this week, we have wonderful people in our lives ...thank you all for your offers to help us!!

A few more sleeping positions....

This kid never sises to amazing me......just a few more positions that the Jettman has fallen asleep in, in the past few weeks......

Wipe Out!!!

Well now that our big girl is on the move she officially needs to be watched 24/7.....She is now taking the odd few steps by herself.  While playing out on the deck the other day Miss Chloee was enjoying some time playing in the water table with her big brothers, when the wipe out occurred!!!  With me standing right there I might add, she proceeded down the side of the deck where there is two steps, directly into a huge mud pile.  This little one certainly has a temper on her!!!!  She was MAD!!!
Mom and Dad couldn't resist grabbing the camera first to capture the moment!!!
Befor the big fall!!!  Having fun with her bro!!!

And After the Fall!!!!

The Princess turns "1"

Well we had a wonderful day celebrating with friends and family Chloee's first birthday.  She had three wardrobe changes throughout the day, the diva that she is.
The Final dress of the day
The first dress of the day
The second dress of the day
Her very first birthday cake was made by our dear friend Adrienne.  How very lucky we are.....her
Barbie Cake...
It is hard to believe it has been a year, even as I sit here and type thinking back to a year ago today, beginning to have some cramping and heading into the hospital......She was Early.....couldn't wait any longer!    To date we no longer are on Formula, we are on full blown milk now, she walks with a little toy walker now or cruize's around the furniture, she has her two front teeth and bottom teeth.  She now uses those teeth to eat all kinds of new foods, enjoying blueberry's and raspberry's, and cheese slices are her fav.

What a wonderful year it has been, looking so forward to the bright future with all three of our amazing kids~!!!

Whats Been Happening Lately

Well as usual this is a busy house, with many, many things happening.  This past week has been no different.  Chase attended his very first Hockey Banquet at the end of his hockey season.....so very cute, he got dressed up in dress shirt and tie....he looked like a million bucks!!!
Chase 5 years April 2011
He was so very proud to receive his medal, they had a record year of 3 wins and only 1 loss!!!   :)  It was a special year also as Daddy was their coach.  Not sure who enjoyed the season more,  Chase or Matt.

Chase has gotten a new bigger bike this year, and we are working on getting rid of training wheels, after a few falls he is a little gun shy but Daddy is working with him.
Next Up is Jett, well Jett is showing that he is his father's son, he so enjoys teasing us all.  His biggest trick is taking your seat after you get up for a moment and laughing at you.  His Vocabulary is progressing so well, words are coming out of his mouth that shock us all!!!  It is so cute to hear him say Chase...it comes out as SHASE.and Chloee is Chooooo!  He has such a sweet personality with the biggest heart!!!  He is getting much better attending Inspiring Minds, not as many tears when he is dropped off now, just over 2 and half years old I think he is doing really well.  He has also taking over driving Chase's 4-wheeler, he does pretty well, a few crashes into the car and gardens but overall he does quite well.
Finally Ms. Chloee, well it has almost been a year since she came into our lives and what a wonderful year it has been....she really did complete our family to the fullest.    We are planning her 1st birthday in a few weeks.  Family and friends will help us celebrate.  She currently has 4 teeth, she is creeping around furniture practising to walk, started to climb stairs and finally sleep through the night!!!  Ahhh life is good!!!
Gramma came for a visit last week and the kids had a ball, they are so very lucky to have such involved grandparents on both sides!!!  It is so important for them and we cherish every moment they get to spend together!

Vacation with Daddy and Chase

We had the pleasure of bringing Chase with us on vacation in Vancouver, Whistler and then finally Hawaii......such a wonderful experience.  Chase had the time of his life as did Mommy and Daddy, we were all very tired with the time change but for Chase being a 5 year old, he was awesome!!!!  I know I was tired so I an only imagine how he felt, but he sure did make the entire trip enjoyable for us!  One special moment stands out in Vancouver, taking him to the big aquarium......I have NEVER seen him that excited before in my life!  It was worth the entire trip just seeing the excitement in his eyes, I am so happy he shares the love of animals that his Daddy and I do.

Chase at the Aquarium in Vancouver March 2011
We then continued on to Whistler, the drive there was simply breathtaking....words cannot do it justice.....Mother Nature sure is talented!!!  Chase's favourite part of Whistler was swimming inside and out.....
During the drive to Whistler
Swimming in Whistler in the outdoors
Chase at the Beach in Hawaii
Next we were on to Hawaii, with much delay but we did finally get there and Chase was a trooper through all the delays, line ups and missed flights!!!  He really was born to travel!    One special moment stands out from Hawaii, we had the opportunity to visit Pearl Harbour and tour the Arizona.  During the tour Chase became very tired and cranky, so I took him down to a sitting area so that Matt could finish the tour and so that Chase would not disrupt the other people.  During our "quiet" time Chase was ready to have a meltdown, so over tired!  He wanted me to buy him a treat, however coming on the tour you were not permitted to bring any bag or purse.  So I had no wallet on me, and Matt up on the ship on tour, Chase was not going to get a treat at that moment.  There happen to be a older gentlemen sitting along the side on his break, he happen to be one of the tour guides from the ship.  He was on his well deserved break, having a coke and a snack.  He had a package of Fruit Mento's candy.......as he saw Chase loosing it, he offered up his full package of mento's to bring a smile to his face.  How so very sweet the people are in Hawaii.  This man had grandchildren of his own and knew the limits of a child and thought he would help out!  Something I will always remember.  He taught us that doing a little something for someone can mean the world to another.  Once Matt returned I tried to repay this man for his mento's but he simply said.."No, it was my pleasure to spend this time with you and Chase".  Probably one of the most favorite part of our Hawaii trip.  Many other moments to mention, such as the Beach Boys playing on our beach, or laying and playing on the amazing Lagoon Beach with Chase, or swimming in the lava created pools at the hotel.   Many many more moments were experienced but too many to type out!!!    Thank you Matt and Chase for making this trip soooo wonderful!!!!

Updates!!!

It's been a few weeks since I have been able to update.....wonder why?  Could have something to do with the 3 children in my life!!!    So I thought I should just give a little update as to what has been happening lately.

Miss Chloee has gotten her second tooth and the poor little thing as suffered through it.....teething has been a tough go for her....I am hoping it gets a little easier for her in the future as it is a long road of teeth coming in......another milestone she reached is official crawling, she looks so cute with her little bum wiggling around the house.  She has places to go now and loves every minute.......She is just shy of 10 months now and it has been an amazing voyage so far!!!

Now on to Jett, well Mr. Jett is keeping us busy.......he is learning so many things from his big brother, some good and some not so good.  At this moment, Jett's favorite saying is "In a Minute"  meaning, I will do what you told me in a minute.   He makes me laugh as he is such an little booger at times......so loving and wants to cuddle on your lap and in the next breath throwing a temper tamp tram on the floor.  I never saw these tamp trams with Chase so this is new...and dealing with it is challenging, however most of them time I let him scream it out...seems to work.  The big boy has retired his bottle now and understands that bottles are for Baby Chloee, not big boy Jett, he wants to drink his milk in a sippy cup like his big brother Chase now!!!    Way to go big man.....Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you and love you so much!!!
And now on to my big boy Chase, well this little guy has been so busy lately, between school, hockey, hanging with his buddies and just plan having fun...he's busy!!!  Daddy took he and Jett to see the Raptors play this week, they travelled to the game in a huge SUV stretched Limo and then went to sit in the box to watch the game and have goodies.
We recently made a trip home to Kingston, kind of a tough trip for Chase, first we thought we lost his DSI which was very traumatic for all, then on a outing he fell and had to be taken into Emergency and received 4 stitches....his second set of stitches.....he does think his scare is pretty cool though, he got to go to school on Tuesday and show is teacher and all his buddies and tell them the tale!  A big day is fast approaching, my big man is going to be 5, it is incredible to me that he is going to be 5......wow where has the time gone?  What a wonderful 5 years it has been buddy!!!  Mommy and Daddy love you, and thank you for making this parenting thing so easy.

How very lucky Matt and I are to have such wonderful, happy and healthy children, I would never ask for anything more in this world!!!

Two Short little tales to tell.........

So last night, getting close to bedtime for the kids we are all sitting in the living room watching a little T.V.   We decide that it is time to get the kids ready for bed, and one of their bedtime rituals is having some milk to take to bed after brushing their teeth.  Well last night Matt said...OK Chase it's time to go brush out teeth and Daddy will make you some Chocolate Milk to take up to bed.........Chase became so upset and yelling back at Dad saying....."I CAN'T HAVE CHOCOLATE MILK FOR BEDTIME DADDY I HAVE POOOOOO SAUCE".....he was so upset and Matt and I could barely keep from laughing at him, I think it was just how irritated he was with Matt cause he was going to make him Chocolate Milk and everyone knows that Chocolate Milk gives you POOOOOOO SAUCE!!!  In Chase's world anyway!!!!  :)  He'll kill me when he is older that I have told these stories I am sure!!!

And the next story that happen in this house today.......Jett came home from school, it was a busy 10 minutes as he came in as we were getting Chase ready to go to hockey, feeding Chloee her dinner and getting dinner going for all of us.........I heard Jett wander into the laundry room where our bin of dog food is kept, I heard him pull himself up on the cupboard to the counter and open the dog food bin.........before I could even get out of my chair to go stop him, he was back on the floor running up the stairs to his room, I hear his door slam shut and he is giggling hiding in his bed under the covers, I come into his room and ask him what he is doing?  His response is after he uncovers his head from his blankets and with a full mouth of dog kibble he says....mothing!!!    LOL!!!  Or tries to say it anyway!!!!  What a kid....now hiding to eat the dog kibble!!!

Another Milestone Reached

Well as we enter a new month, (Feb 2011) we have entered a new milestone with Miss Chloee, we now have a moving baby.  She is not actually crawling but is pulling herself along the floor, carpet and hardwood.  She has the motion down and I am sure normal crawling won't be long but in the meantime, she is quite happy to be pulling herself all over the house.  New Challenges this brings, oh yes, already having Chase and Jett running around the house and dropping toys and nicks and nacs all over has Mommy running around picking things up like a maniac in fear that Chloee will get it.  With Chase, this wasn't an issue as he was the only one, no worries of toys form his older siblings, then Jett arrived and well it was a bit more of a challenge with Chase playing everywhere in the house but he was pretty good and keeping his toys away from Baby Jett, well now it is Jett's turn and he just happens to leave everything everywhere, making my days full.  Nothing new with Jett though!!!    I must give him credit though, when it is time to clean up, that kid will clean up and won't stop till it's done!!!  Hopefully he continues that way!

So now I have 3 children, doing their own thing, happy and healthy playing all around our home....every little inch!!!  How very lucky we are!!!!

Terrible Two's!!!

Well we have officially reached the Terrible 2's phase with Jett.  I am experiencing things with him that I never did with Chase.  At least I don't recall it happening, but maybe!!!  Jett enjoys having the battle of the wils with me.......on a regular occurrence now, upon Jett acting up he is told he will be going for a "Time Out" if he doesn't stop.....well....his response....."OK, Let's go", and away he heads to the stairs to assume the position, all this time laughing!!!  It just doesn't seem to phase this kid.  Once his timeout is over, we head back to what we were doing where most of the time he returns to doing what he got the time out for in the first place....It is a big game for him....and we just keep going around and around.

I have took to watching the Supernanny every chance I get now and take notes!  I have learned that it seems to be more effective taking things away from Jett that he enjoys...Hench..his milk.  He loves his milk and can't get enough each day.........so the milk goes bye bye.  Consistency is the key at this point I have learned.....no slacking off with this one!!!!  Otherwise he will play me like a fiddle!    Any advise from fellow parents out there is welcome!!!!  Momma is tired!!!!  LOL!!!

It amazes me that this sweet little face can be a little hellion when he chooses!!!!

Report in JK....A VERY Proud Mommy Moment!!!

To quote from Mrs. Roth, Chase's JK teacher...a little report sent home to us on Jan. 11, 2011.  Yep we are proud!!!!

"Hi!  Happy New Year!
Just wanted to let you know how well Chase is progressing.  Chase has been printing his name wonderfully....taking his time and staying left to right!  He is even reading some simple pattern books in small reading groups!!!  Continue to have him point under the words and use picture clues to ready!!!
Thanks, Mrs. Roth"

How awesome is this!!!  Mommy and Daddy are so very proud of you Chaseman!!!

Sick Kids...The Season of the Flu

Well one thing I was never told or never realized befor having kids was how sick a house could get from the germ bugs they bring in your home, and will continue all threw the season to be sick and continue to pass it on to each other over and over again.

We have had so many colds in this house this year that I have seriously lost count of who has had what and for how long and what all the symptoms were.......It certainly is true, kids enter school and daycare and sickness comes along with it!  I have to say the mommy inside of me loves the extra cuddle time that I am banking up but it hurts my heart to watch my three kids uncomfortable from the flu or a cold of some sort.

It seems I am forever washing hands, surfaces and faces, just trying to avoid these colds, but in the end, it really doesn't seem to matter as the colds reside in someone in the house.  I have never tried the flu shot......does anyone have any comments on it?  Would love to know what you think!    I can honestly say that this house is sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!!!    Any tips fellow Mom's?

Kiss it Better Mom!!!

Well today was a first, even for a Mom of three.  Jett had hurt himself....had a little tumble, nothing new for him.  We ask our kids alot, can we kiss it better when they get hurt.  So today after Jett had fallen off the bar stool (for the 100th time) he came to me upset, I said, Mommy kiss it better?  He said Yaaaaaaa and came to me, pulled his pants down to his bare bum and bent over for me to kiss his bum...better!!!!    Got love the way kids think!!!!  Jett just another story to add to the list and tell at your wedding some day!!!  Love you big fella!!!

Potty Training at it's Finest!!!

Well I have to say that I am soooo very impressed with the bigman Jett, he has taking over the potty training all on his own.  It simply amazes me how much they learn and how quickly they learn it!!!  Chase was 2.5 when he began to do the potty training (all on his own I must add) and now Jett, just over 2 years old has done the same....all on his own initiative!!!!  It is true, they only will do it when they are ready to, on their own little schedule.  I am soooo proud of you Jett!!!  Once Again!!!!
